Easy on the eyes

“Easy on the eyes”
She hated trite, never wanted to be
No man ever looked at her
Seeing anything resembling
Entranced by her voice of whisper
Hypnotic as it draws you in
Although she purposely
Rambled on incessantly
A fool.
As the porch light calls
Moths just men
Fluttering, swarming
Close enough to singe
Her light and warmth
Vying for a place
To be the closest to her
When her eyes met theirs
Only for a second
They locked on, target acquisition
Prepared to submerge within
Those pools of jade
Or were they honey brown
All the men wanted to
Drown deep inside
Sinking into desire
Farther than a soul
Can dive.
