Fading

Uselessness hit me again

Will the madness rear its face

My soft, cool demeanor appear

Smiles and gentle looks

Twice a week it comes

Comforting those I love

When the storm lays waste to my soul

My inner darkness steps forth

Around the house a loud thud

That all can distinguish

Banging away in my skull

I repulse those around me

Driving them past sanity

Like a car, I careen off the road

The darkness is roused.
